The journey that led me here
After raising three children and building a full career as a chef, pastry chef, and entrepreneur, I eventually reached a season of life where I was ready for something new. Now retired, I felt a growing desire to live more intentionally and experience the world beyond the familiar rhythms of home. I wanted a life with a little more breathing room, where curiosity, culture, and everyday moments could take center stage.
Traveling solo has taken courage I didn’t always know I had. Leaving the comfort of what’s known can feel daunting, especially for women who have spent years caring for everyone else before themselves. But I’ve discovered something beautiful on the other side of that fear: freedom, perspective, and a deep sense of gratitude for the chance to keep exploring the world. Through Postcards & Passageways, I share that journey; the cultures, foods, architecture, and everyday moments that make each place unique.
More than sightseeing, I’m searching for connections. I’m drawn to places where people gather in cafés, where old buildings hold stories, where markets hum with life and conversations linger over coffee. I’m looking for community, for that quiet feeling of belonging that can exist even far from where you began.
